Tim McGraw will host the ABC television special, CMA Music Festival: Country's Night to Rock, airing Wednesday, Sept. 1, at 8-11 p.m. EST on ABC.

"The summer's hottest concert special, just got hotter with the addition of Tim McGraw as host," said Steve Moore, Chairman of the CMA Board of Directors. "He is a dynamic performer with an undeniable chemistry and relationship with the fans."

The special features performances from some of Country’s most exciting stars, taped during 2010's CMA Music Festival in Nashville. Performers include Trace Adkins, Jason Aldean, Billy Currington, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Reba McEntire, Tim McGraw, Brad Paisley, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban, Carrie Underwood, Zac Brown Band and more.

The special will also feature footage from Taylor Swift’s 13-hour meet and greet, which included an acoustic performance.

McGraw has participated in CMA Music Festival eight times. 2010, however, was his first appearance at the Festival since 2001 when it was still known as Fan Fair.

The primetime special, CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, debuted in 2004. In 2009, the special brought in 7.4 million viewers, ABC’s biggest audience during the summer season.

The CMA Music Festival began in 1972 as Fan Fair with 5,000 fans. The Festival has grown to a daily attendance of more than 56,000 fans from every state and many international tourists.
