Tim McGraw Joins Lineup At 2009 Oregon Jamboree

 Country mega stars Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes and Montgomery Gentry are set up to headline this year’s Oregon Jamboree the weekend of July 31 to Aug. 2. Joey + Rory, Heidi Newfield, Kristy Lee Cook and Jake Owen fill some of the other spots open to perform.  Friday night will feature McGraw with newcomers Joey + Rory, with two spots left to fill. LeAnn Rimes headlines Saturday night with Heidi Newfield, formerly of Trick Pony, holding the second slot for the night. Montgomery Gentry will close out the Jamboree with other performances from Kristy Lee Cook and Jake Owen. Peter LaPonte, event manager, expressed his excitement about getting McGraw to perform on Friday. “Isn’t that amazing,” he said in a statement from Sweet Home News. “He’s a huge star. Adding Tim to the lineup is exciting. An act like this doesn’t play any other small towns. Not a county fair can bring in an act like this.”   The event is run by Sweet Home Economic Development Group to raise money for projects that benefit local economic development.
