Tim McGraw will celebrate the life and memory of his father, Tug McGraw, on Friday, April 23, with his annual fundraiser, "Bowling For Brains," in Nashville. The event will act as the kick-off party to this weekend's 11th Annual Country Music Marathon & 1/2 Marathon.  Team McGraw will be putting on the bowling event, which will consist of a silent auction, a "carb-out" pasta bar and a performance by former "Nashville Star" contestant Lance Miller, along with bowling.

According to TheBoot.com Miller said, "I've done a lot of things with Jennifer who runs Team McGraw. She is just fabulous, and anything she asks me to do, I graciously do. It's a great organization. It's close to Tim and means a lot to him as well. Anything that he feels that passionate about I'm going to try to be a part of it if he would like me to."

McGraw stated, "We are so thankful and appreciative of the dedication and strength of Team McGraw. Their efforts help generate much-needed attention and funding for quality of life research for those who are affected by brain tumors and other neurological conditions."

Team McGraw is a training program that raises money and awareness for the Tug McGraw Foundation. All proceeds from the "Bowling for Brains" event will benefit the Tug McGraw Foundation. "Bowling for Brains" will be held at Tusculum Lanes in Nashville from 5:30 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.. Tickets are $10 to $35. For more information, or to www.tugmcgraw.org.
