Tim McGraw To Sing Before Daytona 500 on Valentine’s Day
ETOnline says Tim McGraw will perform three songs before the start of this year’s Daytona 500, which is Valentine’s Day. Maybe he can pick up a Valentine’s Day gift for Faith while he’s there…a “Little E” t-shirt or a beer koozie or something?

You Gotta Be Fast To Catch Lady A
Lady Antebellum sold out two shows in 30-minutes for the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville in March. It is the kick-off performance for the 2009 CMA Vocal Group of the Year’s 2010 tour. Lady A member Hillary Scott says, “We want to thank our fans. They are the best fans in the world for giving us the honor of playing the legendary Ryman Auditorium for two straight nights. We feel like we are living in a dream.”

Second Time Around Easier For Darius Rucker
Darius Rucker says in spite of what some may think he is actually more relaxed about recording his second country music album than he was his first one. The CMA’s New Artist of the Year award winner says he knows now if they produce good songs, radio will play them. Yeah, but will people still illegally “share” them?

Carrie Underwood Gets The Bronze
Carrie Underwood has had the third most radio plays of any past American Idol finalist. Kelly Clarkson, no surprise, has the most and second is Chris Daughtry who finished strong with his hit “Home”. Since her career is hopefully a marathon and not a sprint, we assume Carrie will finish #1 eventually.

Modern Miracle – Two Chicks Become Hounds
Dixie Chick sisters Martie Maguire and Emily Robison have recorded an album under the name Court Yard Hounds. Emily sings lead vocals. The Wallflowers’ Jakob Dylan helps out on one tune too. That’s Bob’s boy you know. Best of luck to you Chicks…love the new name!

Another Round for Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson has signed a deal with Rounder Records and has a new release on the label coming out mid-Februrary. It is called Country Music and was produced by T Bone Burnett (Oh Brother Where Art Thou and many more). CountryHound is investigating to see where in the world they came up with that title…quite a mystery.
