It is not unusual for small scuffles to break out during concerts, considering the close quarters and that alcohol is often present. However, one such scuffle turned into a full-fledged fight that required the help of police during a Tim McGraw concert in Mansfield, Mass. last week. Six men were arrested and charged with assault and battery after they ganged up on and beat a fellow concert attendant.

"He stated he was talking to a girl when he was approached and confronted by someone and the fight started," Bristol County Assistant District Attorney Mark Donovan explains. "He was being attacked by several people, kicked and punched." Excessive alcohol use was also reported as a factor in the incident. The victim is still in the hospital after suffering severe head injuries, but he is expected to make a full recovery.

Tim, who is the father of three girls, has always been outspoken about his views on violence, especially at his concerts. He does not tolerate fans who get too rowdy and has even been known to break up fights or have people removed from the venue if he feels their behavior is unacceptable.

Tim’s Emotional Traffic tour continues this week, hopefully without incident, with shows in Oklahoma, Colorado, New Mexico, and Utah.
