"The Truth" Gives Jason Aldean Third No. 1 in Nine Months

Country singer Jason Aldean has had a very productive and exciting past few months. He is dominating Billboard’s Country charts with his third consecutive No. 1 off his most recent album, Wide Open. In the past nine months, Aldean has held the top spot for seven weeks.

“I know I sound like a broken record lately, but I’ve been working to have a year like we just had since I was 14 years old,” said Aldean. “We had such a killer time on the road opening this leg of the tour, and it means so much to see all of the fans singing every word of ‘The Truth’ along with us.”

This most recent chart-topper, “The Truth,” comes right after a record-breaking show in Greenville, S.C., this past weekend as Aldean opened his 2010 Wide Open tour. Aldean continued the momentum with another sellout in his hometown of Macon, Ga., quickly matching the pace of his 17 consecutive sold out tour dates in 2009.

“I’ve done hundreds of shows in this building and Jason and his band’s performance last Friday was one for the ages," said Roger Newton, General Manager of the BI-LO Center in Greenville. “The sold out crowd was one of the most enthusiastic and energetic group of fans we have had in a long time.”
