The Nashville Songwriters Association International’s Halloween deadline is fast approaching. They encourage songwriters to submit their best tunes to the NSAI Song Contest Presented by CMT.

The Grand Prize Winner of this career-building experience will receive an exclusive mentoring session with songwriter/musician/industry icon Charlie Daniels. In addition to one Grand Prize Winner, one CMT Listeners’ Choice Winner and one Lyric-Only winner, prizes will include a single-song professional demo, tickets to the 2012 CMT Music Awards in Nashville, a private tour of CMT studios, a performance at The Bluebird Café, meetings with major music publishers, a one-year membership to NSAI and more!

For more information on how to take part in this great opportunity, visit nsai.cmt.com. All music genres are encouraged, and the entry fees are $35 for current NSAI members and $45 for non-members per song submitted.

The finalists will be narrowed down by Nashville pro writers, publishers, and industry professionals over three rounds of judging. One Grand Prize winner, Lyric only winner, 10 Runners-Up and 10 Honorable Mentions before the Top 10 (excluding the Grand Prize Winner) are posted on nsai.cmt.com. Fans can vote online for their favorite beginning Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, 2012. The CMT Listeners’ Choice Winner will be announced immediately following the online voting.
