The Musicians Hall of Fame Traveling Exhibit Is a Hit in Northeast

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum's traveling exhibit just returned from a highly successful stint in the Northeast.

The exhibit, which features some of the most valuable and prized items in music history, drew massive crowds at The Big Eastern States Exposition. More than 200,000 people, including some government officials, attended the Exposition, which was held from Sept. 16 – Oct. 2 in West Springfield, Mass. The governor of Massachusetts, Deval Patrick, was photographed holding Jimi Hendrix’s 1967 Fender Stratocaster.

After its success in Massachusetts, the exhibit has been asked to appear at other venues across the country. However, the owners are currently in talks with the city of Nashville in an attempt to get the museum a permanent home in downtown.

The Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum closed its physical location in early 2010, when the city of Nashville bought the property to start construction on the new Music City Convention Center.
