The Del McCoury Band is opening its studio doors to the public for the very first time.

For three days, Del and the boys will record at a session clinic hosted by "MPI: Music Producers Institute," where Kris Kristofferson, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Rodney Crowell, Robert Earl Keen, Asleep at the Wheel, Radney Foster and many others have recorded.

Limited to only twelve students, these MPI sessions offer students a chance to study record production by observing an actual recording session.

"If you are at all interested in what goes on in a recording studio, this for you," said Radney Foster of "Foster & Lloyd."

In addition to witnessing the recording process, MPI founder and Grammy-winner Steve Fishell will lead students through a day-long record production seminar, featuring demonstrations and lectures covering pre-production, tracking, vocals, overdubs, mixing and mastering.

The process will take place May 2, 3 and 4 at Nashville's renowned Sound Emporium "Studio A." Tuition for the 3-day class is $999, and a portion of profits will be donated to the first build by the Habitat for Humanity in Cumberland Maryland on behalf of The DelFest Foundation.
