The Country Network (TCN) has continued to aggressively expand its broadcast reach. Recently, the announcment was made that it will reach within five new television markets that are being added as affiliates under the terms of a newly signed pact with Kansas City, Missouri based Newport Television.

The new markets added to the TCN broadcast are:
Salt Lake City
Fresno
Little Rock
Wichita
Tulsa

The newly acquired affiliates will being airing TCN in April. This will bring the total number of stations carrying The Country Network, in association with Newport Television, to 42.

As for the president of TCN, Chris Buterick, he could not be more pleased. In the announcement of the new affiliates, he said, “The new alliance with a broadcast partner of the caliber of Newport Television adds even more conviction to our belief that the format of country music is providing potential affiliates and advertisers with a proven vehicle that is solidly connecting with the viewership.

The Country Network began in October 2010 on Music Row in Nashville. The network embraces the concept of “All Country Music, All The Time,” in its programming, with – you guessed it – exclusive music video format. Since then, TCN has become one of the nation’s fastest growing new broadcast networks, with content available over the air and on the majority of cable systems within its markets.
