The Band Perry Receives First Grammy Nod

The Band Perry has been gaining speed with their latest single, "If I Die Young," taking the No. 1 spot on Country Music charts this week. To top things off, it was announced Wednesday that the trio of siblings also received a Grammy nomination for Best Country Song for that very same single.
 
The band was playing a sold-out concert in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, when the news broke.
 
A representative from Big Machine Label Group/Republic Nashville stopped the show and shared the good news with both the band and audience, who were thrilled.
 
"Thank you - this has been a whirlwind year and we have you guys and Country radio to thank,” said Kimberly Perry upon hearing about the nomination.
