Based in Austin, Texas, the “Live Music Capital of the World, The Band of Heathens is climbing the Americana Charts. The band now holds the No. 1 spot on both the Americana Radio Chart and the EuroAmericana Chart. For the past 11 weeks, The Band of Heathens has held a position in the top 5 of the Americana Radio Chart. The band is now on its second consecutive month of holding the No. 1 position on the EuroAmericana Chart.

On May 20, the band released their self-titled album, The Band of Heathens. The band has no single front man, and the instrumentation includes Ed Jurdi’s bluesy Wurlitzer piano and Hammond B-3 organ, thus, giving the band a multi-genre appeal. The studio release of The Band of Heathens features the talents of Stephen Bruton, Patty Griffin and Gurf Morlix.  The album also highlights Ed Jurdi, Gordy Quist and Colin Brooks’ vocal delivery, songwriting skills and guitar interplay. Seth Whitney, bass, and John Chipman, Austin Music Awards’ “Best Drummer”, add their own rhythmic flair to the band. The album includes “Bumblebee” and “Jenny Was a Keeper," fan favorites from their tour. “Cornbread” and “Jackson Station” are similar to the fan favorites and should not disappoint. Currently, The Band of Heathens is touring, with a schedule of more than 200 dates this year.
