On July 6, rising Country band No Justice released their sophomore album, 2nd Avenue, marking its debut with Carved Records. After previous hits such as “Never Come Back” and “Don’t Walk Away,” No Justice has expanded its notoriety and generated excitement for its new album.

With all of its members hailing from Texas, No Justice also helped to increase anticipation for their album outside of their home state through a 200-date tour. The efforts have aided in pushing the band beyond the Texas and Oklahoma music scenes.

The album’s lead single, “Love Song,” is simply a song of lost love, helping the band stay in touch with its small-town roots. Lead singer Steve Rice explains the basics of the song.

“It’s written from a small town perspective-having missed out on a special opportunity with someone and wanting it back,” he said.

With songs that take an upbeat tone, such as “Going Nowhere,” or slow it down, like “Heart on a Chain,” and guest appearances by Lynn Howard and Johnny Cooper, the album has variety and character.

2nd Avenue is available now on Carved Records. Visit nojustice.com for more information on the band.
