Taylor Swift's 'Speak Now' Sells Swiftly in First week

Country megastar Taylor Swift released her third CD, Speak Now, two weeks ago on Oct. 26. In the first week, the album sold 1,046,718 copies, as measured by Nielsen SoundScan.
 
Speak Now currently ranks No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Album chart, as well as the Billboard 200 all-genre rankings.
 
As for top Country songs, Swift has a bit of competition. Darius Rucker’s hit, “Come Back Song,” is still claiming its spot as top Country song for the second week. However, Swift’s “Mean” is this week’s highest charting new song, with its debut on the charts at No. 55. The title track of the new album returns to the chart at No. 58.
