Taylor Swift TV Special Airs Thanksgiving Day

Fans of Taylor Swift will now have one more thing to be thankful for on Thanksgiving night when the starlet's one-hour special will air on NBC at 8 p.m. ET. The special will follow Swift during nine one-of-a-kind performances ranging from Central Park to on top of her tour bus in downtown Hollywood. The TV special will also feature footage of Swift in the recording studio for her recently released album, Speak Now, and her publicity tour.

Swift will perform songs from her latest album, including “Sparks Fly,” “Mean,” “Mine,” “Story of Us,” “Back to December,” “Enchanted,” “Long Live” and the title track, “Speak Now.” Swift will also divulge hints and information on the inspiration behind the lyrics for her songs.

"You write about things nobody knows you went through," Swift said to The Boot. "My main focus when I'm writing a song is the person I'm writing it about, what they're going to think of it and them knowing what I feel about them. A lot of times, they don't know exactly what I felt. Somehow I feel more comfortable saying it all to them in a song ... that many more people are going to hear than if I just sent a text message! [laughs] But that's just how I feel more comfortable expressing myself."

This week, Swift will also be appearing on NBC’s The Tonight Show With Jay Leno on Monday and Chelsea Lately on the E! television network Wednesday.
