Taylor Swift to Appear on CBS Hit Crime Drama

st1\:*{behavior:url(#ieooui) } There’s good news for fans of both CSI:  Crime Scene Investigation and Country star Taylor Swift. UsMagazine.com reports that Swift has landed a role on the hit crime drama. Appearing on the show is something she’s been talking about wanting to do for months, according to MTV.com.  “I think, as far as branching out with acting, it would take something really right on the mark to distract me from music, because music is everything to me,” Swift told MTV News. “If it were CSI or Grey’s Anatomy or a movie that was really, really smart, then I think I might venture off.”  Producers of the show contacted Swift to appear on CSI after they heard she was a fan of the show.  “Before Christmas we reached out to Taylor Swift because one of the CBS executives had told me, ‘Taylor loves your show,’” producer Mendelsohn told UsMagazine.com. “So Taylor came in to meet with me right before the holidays, and we talked about the character.”  Swift will play a troubled teenager whose family owns a shady Vegas motel. Mendelsohn describes the role as challenging due to several changes the character goes through over a year’s time. The show is set to air in either late February or early March.
