It's been a phenomenal year for Country superstar Taylor Swift, and she just experienced another groundbreaking first on Monday.

The CMA Entertainer of the Year's song, "Fearless," was just released as a single. According to GAC, it's the first time in history that Country radio has been shipped a single that has already been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America.

The title track of Swift's multi-platinum-selling CD is a song she wrote about taking courage on the dating circuit.

"No matter how many break-up songs you write, no matter how many times you get hurt, you will always fall in love again," the Country singer said. "When I wrote 'Fearless,' I wasn't dating anyone. I wasn't even in the beginning stages of dating anybody. I really was all by myself out on tour, and I got this idea for a song about the best first date. I think sometimes when you're writing love songs, you don't write them about what you're going through at the moment, you write about what you wish you had."

"Fearless" is one of three songs on Swift's sophomore album that has already been certified gold without ever being released as a single. The other two that have sold 500,000 digital single downloads each without being released are "You're Not Sorry" and "I'm Only Me When I'm With You."

In October, Swift scored 14 awards for digital single downloads of individual tracks off her album, including a quadruple-platinum award for selling 4 million copies of her No. 1 smash, "Love Story."
