Taylor Swift added another award to her list as she was recently announced as Artist of the Year by the prestigious National Association of Recording Merchandisers.

President of NARM, Jim Donio said, "We are thrilled to welcome Taylor back to NARM. And we are especially proud to recognize her extraordinary creative and commercial achievements with our Artist of the Year Award. She has made a brilliant and stellar contribution to the music industry in just a few years, and we congratulate her on this much-deserved honor."

Swift will receive her award at a ceremony on Monday, May 17, in Chicago. Other artists who will be honored at the event include Melissa Ethridge, who will receive the Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award; Jerry Leiber & Mike Stoller will receive the Outstanding Achievement Award for Music Collaboration. Leiber and Stoller, a songwriting duo, have written songs such as Elvis Presley's "Jailhouse Rock" and "Hound Dog," as well as "Yakety Yak" for The Coasters.
