Taylor Swift Receives Special Award from BMI

Taylor Swift received the BMI President's Award Tuesday night in Los Angeles during a ceremony giving recognition to the biggest songwriters of the year. CMT reported that the award "honors an exceptional person in the entertainment industry deserving of special recognition."

She also won a BMI Pop Award for "Teardrops on My Guitar"'s success as a crossover song. She's currently travelling the country on her first headlining tour.
