This month, Country Music darling Taylor Swift became the first Country Music artist to win a Video Music Award, and her groundbreaking crossover achievements continue this week with her second No. 1 Top 40 Radio spot.

Swift's smash hit, "You Belong With Me," hit the No. 1 spot on Top 40 Radio, her second Country single to make crossover history. The first was "Love Story," from her top-selling album Fearless. "You Belong With Me" is Swift's fourth consecutive No. 1 Country single.

Swift's camp has set out to push her as a crossover artist, with video and non-Country radio promotion. The top spot for a Country crossover has been attempted before; Shania Twain's 1997 "You're Still The One" came just shy of it, peaking at No. 2 and setting the bar for Country Music crossovers.

Swift is no stranger to achieving giant status in her short career. The singer is the best selling artist of 2008 across all music genres; she the first artist to ever have two albums in the Top Ten of the Year-end album chart and Fearless kept her in the No. 1 spot for two consecutive months.
