Country Music superstar Taylor Swift should be used to accepting awards and honors, but the latest one has nothing to do with music. The teenage Country star has been awarded a spot in the International Bowling Hall of Fame by fans, according to the Bowling Proprietor's Association of America.

In a contest on www.gobowling.com, the BPAA nominated several celebrities that have publicly supported the sport of bowling. Swift received 613,324 votes, narrowly edging out the Canadian singing sensation, Justin Bieber. Finishing third and fourth are bowling favorites Bill Murray and Jeff Bridges.

"In many ways Taylor Swift perfectly represents the current face of bowling, especially as the sport enjoys unprecedented growth in popularity among youth, women and young adults,” said Steve Johnson, executive director of the BPAA.

This year marked the first ever open fan-voting for the International Bowling Hall of Fame, which churned out 1.3 million votes. For the full story, visit the www.bpaa.com.
