Taylor and Carrie Get Grammy Boost

2/21/2008 Stephen L. Betts Taylor Swift and Carrie Underwood have both been doing just fine as far as CD sales, thank you. But both artists are also getting quite a boost from their recent Grammy Awards show appearances. Taylor's album sales are up a whopping 35 percent after the Grammy telecast earlier this month. She’s currently at the top of country album charts yet again with her self-titled debut album, and at No. 7 on the overall Billboard 200 chart. Carrie's latest album, Carnival Ride, enjoyed a 43 percent increase in sales after the Grammys (she also earned her second consecutive Country Female trophy at the ceremony). Carrie’s sophomore effort lands at No. 5 for the week, with her debut album featuring “Before He Cheats” re-entering the Top 10 at No. 8 for the week.
