Tanya Tucker is suing her former producer, Gregg A. Brown, for breach of contract and is seeking to recover more than $170,000 of personal property.

Brown, the owner of Revelator Records, is alleged to have entered into an oral contract with Tucker in 2006, according to the Tennessean’s report of the lawsuit, filed on July 30.

The oral contract allegedly stated that Revelator Records would produce recordings performed by Tucker and enable her to sell them to vendors. Brown is reported to have kept the recordings completed in 2007. They include seven master recordings and 29 video recordings. Tucker seeks to reclaim her ownership of the recordings.

Also included in the lawsuit is the alleged bill of $5,000 for limousine services along with an accident in which Brown was driving Tucker’s Ford Excursion.

Brown also allegedly did not use $145,000 that Tanya’s friends and families had invested into the recording project, and he failed to pay the $60,000 in production fees.

Tucker is seeking an injunction ordering the return of her property and that an accounting of all expenses from the project be provided by Brown, as well as an unspecified amount of damages.
