Nashville Star Premieres Tonight

6/9/2008 This year's season of Nashville Star premieres tonight on NBC with a special appearance from Taylor Swift. Fans of the TV hit Nashville Star will now have the chance for a little behind-the-scenes action as NBC and XM Radio have teamed up to produce “Nashville Star Radio,” a weekly show that will premier June 12th. The program will feature interviews and performances by the show’s participants and will also include appearances from host Billy Ray Cyrus, and judges John Rich, Jewel and Jeffrey Steele. “XM is known as an arbiter of the best in country music for fans of both new and established artists,” said Eric Logan, Executive Vice President, Programming, XM Radio. “The addition of Nashville Star Radio is just another example of how XM is helping fans discover the best new artists in country music well before they become household names and is an excellent complement to the roster of dedicated country music channels and original shows already available to XM’s millions of subscribers.” Nashville Star Radio will premiere on XM’s new country channel “Highway 16” (XM 16) at 8 p.m. ET, June 12.
