Sugarland Shows Funny-Bone in New Video

Sugarland

Surgarland’s Jennifer Nettles does some stalking, kidnapping and aerobic dancing in the group’s newest video for the first single from their forthcoming album, Incredible Machine.

“Stuck Like Glue is just plain, unashamed, sugar-fun,” Nettles said. “It sticks in your brain, no pun intended. To me it feels young, hips and, of course, sassy.”

The duo has been itching to perform “Stuck Like Glue” to a live audience but wanted to wait until the song was released.

“I can’t wait for it to get out there so we can play it live in our show,” Nettles said. “We’ve been sitting on our hands to not play it live until it was released.”

The video stars Ryan McPartlin, from the TV series Chuck, as the object of Nettles’ desire.

“He is Captain Awesome. He’s the perfect guy. He’s the perfect boyfriend, he’s the perfect athlete,” Nettles said. “We thought that would be a funny twist. He fits the profile. Very handsome and he’s a good actor as well, and also a nice guy.”

Incredible Machine is Surgarland’s fourth studio album and is set for release in the United States on Oct. 19.
