Sugarland, Julianne Hough, Zac Brown Participate in "We Are the World" Remake

Some of the biggest names in Country Music have teamed up with musicians from all genres to support a common cause -- relief efforts in Haiti. Zac Brown, Julianne Hough and Sugarland are only a few of the 81 total artists who participated in a Feb. 1 recording of “We Are the World—25 for Haiti.”
The recording is a modernized update on the 1985 recording of “We Are the World” by Lionel Richie and the late icon Michael Jackson. Quincy Jones, the producer of the original hit, said that he and Richie had decided not to spotlight the 25th anniversary of the hit, but changed their minds after the devastation of the earthquakes in Haiti.
