Steel Magnolia Debuts at No. 3

The self-titled debut album for country duo Steel Magnolia had an impressive debut, landing at No. 3 on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
 
Band members Meghan Linsey and Joshua Scott Jones premiered the album at New York City’s Bowery Ballroom on Jan. 1 and trail only Taylor Swift and the soundtrack to "Country Strong."
 
The "Can You Duet" champions worked with producer Dan Huff and had a hand in writing seven of the album's 12 tracks.
 
"The first half of the album is more current, modern day country and the back half begins to get more traditional," said Linsey. "It’s cool because it brings it around full circle."
 
The duo's most recent single "Last Night Again" is currently climbing the charts.
