6/13/2008 Summer weather is here and that means outdoor Music Festivals. These concerts not only unite diehard music fans, they also bring together some of the best musicians of all genres, including Country, Rock, and more. Bonnaroo, a four-day, multi-stage camping festival, kicked off in Manchester, Tennessee Thursday, June 12. Its line-up includes some top artists in Rock and Roll, Jazz, Country, Americana, Hip-Hop, and Electronica. Country Music duo Alison Krauss and Robert Plant, Country legend Willie Nelson, Rock band Pearl Jam, Levon Helm, Kanye West, Death Cab for Cutie, and British female artist M.I.A are among the acts set to perform this year. In addition to the festival’s top-notch musical performances, guests can visit a classic arcade, on-site cinema, silent disco, comedy club, beer festival, and a music technology village. The Carolina Entertainment Complex’s Marion Country Music Fest also started Thursday. The event features two stages for performances by Country Music artists Sugarland, Lynyrd Synyrd, Hank Williams, Jr., Gretchen Wilson, and many others. The Musicfest organizers added some new features for its attendees to enjoy: carnival rides, games and interactive equipment, according to www.scnow.com. The event will deliver “the best in country, southern rock, acoustic, rock, alternative country, classic rock, country pop and more,” a press release said.
