Sound Matters to Taylor Swift and Jimmy Wayne

In an attempt to encourage healthy hearing to the young music fans of America, Jimmy Wayne and Taylor Swift have teamed up to help found the SoundMatters Initiative, reported CMT.com. 
Additional musicians and newcomers to Music City, Sara Bareilles and Crosby Loggins, have also participated in raising awareness to younger generations about the dangers of iPods and other portable devices that can permanently damage hearing.
Swift urges young kids to take music serious, listen to music with care and get regular hearing checkups, stating that newer generations are losing hearing two and a half times faster than our parents and grandparents.
“Taking care of your hearing isn’t hard, it just takes a little common sense,” Swift told CMT. “So don’t lose the music. Listen responsibly.”
