In addition to his hits in the duo Sam & Dave, he also paired with the late Conway Twitty to record the classic “Rainy Night In Georgia” for the album Rhythm, Country and Blues. In addition to his performance, Sam Moore will be receiving the Music of The Heart Award at the benefit concert. Proceeds from the event will support The Lili Claire Family Resource Center in partnership with Meharry Medical College, which will open its doors in 2008. The Center will offer supportive programs and social services to special-needs children and their families in Nashville and surrounding communities.
