“Smiley Miley” Claims her Name

Miley Ray Cyrus is official. The teen star had her name legally changed from Destiny Hope Cyrus to Miley Ray Cyrus last Friday. Her now-official name has been with her since childhood—her father Billy Ray nicknamed her “Smiley Miley” when she was a baby.

 

The name change came just in time for the unveiling of Miley’s likeness at the famous Madam Tussauds wax museum in NY on March 20. Eager early arrivers were treated to free admission and Hannah Montana merchandise before seeing the wax figure of Miley Cyrus, which is clad in dark blue jeans, a blue silk top and open-toed red-and-white shoes. Much like the real girl, this Miley Ray Cyrus is definitely smiling.
