'Small Town Southern Man' Alan Jackson Goes Big Down Under

Alan Jackson may be known as a small town Southern man, but there is nothing small about his first headlining tour of Australia, especially after Jackson’s fourth date down under sold out in a mere 23 minutes.
 
Four dates were scheduled originally, but because of a high ticket demand, a fifth show was added in Brisbane. The first four dates sold out in less than an hour when they went on sale Friday, Oct. 15.
 
“Alan Jackson has proven – again – the magnitude of his career,” said Rob Potts, co-promoter of the tour. “He is a Country Music icon, and his Australian fans have proven that they crave to see all those hits in person.”
 
Special guests on tour with Jackson in Australia will be Miranda Lambert and Australia-born and recent Nashville-native Jasmine Rae.
