3/18/2008 StaffRounder Records will soon be releasing the highly anticipated debut album from young  up-and-coming bluegrass artist, Sierra Hull. The 16-year-old mandolin player's first CD, Secrets, will be in stores May 6th. Sierra Hull is creating quite a buzz in the bluegrass music industry.  Alison Kraus says, “Sierra is a remarkably talented, beautiful human being. Success could not come to a more worthy person.  I adore her."  Nancy Cardwell of Bluegrass Now calls Sierra a "rising bluegrass star...." Sam Bush also raves about the young bluegrass prodigy.  “With Secrets, Sierra Hull takes charge and leads the band with full authority.  Her vocals are effortless and straight to the point, while keeping the focus on melody.  Her mandolin playing is smooth, in time, and downright slippery.  It’s amazing to listen to her precision and agility, and the potential for musical growth is tremendous.  I can’t wait to hear what Sierra comes up with next. Every so often, a talent comes along that makes us sit up and take notice.  That time is now for Sierra Hull.  This CD is HULLACIOUS!!!” Secrets blends high-energy bluegrass tunes with introspective ballads, presenting the musical maturity of Sierra Hull.  The album features many well-known bluegrass musicians including Ron Block, Dan Tyminski, Barry Bales, Jerry Douglas, Stuart Duncan, Tony Rice, Jim VanCleve, Rob Ickes, Chris Jones, Jason Moore, and 17-year-old banjo talent Cory Walker (who is in Sierra’s band, Highway 111).   Upcoming Tour Dates: April 19        The Feeding Seed with Ron Block  - Fletcher, NC* (with Ron Block)  25-27   MerleFest                                    - Wilkesboro, NC May 14      The Station Inn                        - Nashville, TN* (CD Release Party) 17      Bellbrook Bluegrass Jamboree  - Bellbrook, OH* (with Ron Block) 25      Silver Dollar City                     - Branson, MO 30      Graves Mountain of Music         - Syria, VA
