Ryan Shupe Hospitalized

6/4/2008 Amber Garner Front man Ryan Shupe, of Ryan Shupe and The RubberBand was hospitalized Friday with acute appendicitis. He went into surgery to remove his appendix and is doing fine. Shupe’s hospitalization happened the same day the band was scheduled to make their first in store appearance to support their new album Last Man Standing. The album was released May 27 through Montage Group. The other members of the band attended the appearance, but instead of giving a live performance fans were able to perform for the band with a little karaoke. One fan at the Deseret Book Store in Layton, UT sang a song from the new album word for word without the teleprompter. Looks like Shupe better get out of the hospital before someone else takes his place!
