Shania Twain Asks 'Why Not?' In New Reality Show

Shania Twain hopes her new reality show “Why Not?” will inspire her to find her voice again.
 
The new show on the Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) will follow Twain across the country as she encounters real people with real problems.
 
At the height of her multi-platinum singing career, the five-time Grammy winner felt the pressure to constantly raise the bar and be a better artist. And it had a huge impact on her.
 
“I was slowly losing my voice and slowly losing my confidence,” Twain said. “My marriage was slowly breaking down, too.”
 
After her recent divorce from producer Robert “Mutt” Lang after his alleged affair, Twain is searching for motivation to rediscover her own convictions, and that’s what she hopes her reality show on OWN will offer.
 
“I want to talk to people that have been through big disappointments, big emotional crises, deep life struggles,” said Twain. “And I will learn something from that. I will be inspired by other people.”
 
“Why Not? With Shania Twain” premieres on the OWN network in April.
