Shane Wyatt Joins World's Largest Truck Convoy Benefit

The Special Olympics is hosting their annual World's Largest Truck Convoy in Canterbury Park in Shakopee, Minn., this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 2 and 3. Shane Wyatt, a veteran Oklahoma cowboy and trucker yet greenhorn to the main Country stage, will be performing at this year's event. He hopes to help the World's Largest Truck Convoy top last year's fundraising amount of $643,000 for Special Olympics programs. 
After performing a concert Friday night for the athletes, truckers and the general public, Wyatt will join the convoy of trucks early Saturday morning, manning one of the lead semis in the event.  He
Working with the Special Olympics is something that is very personal for me; my wife and I both have family members with intellectual disabilities and we know how much this organization does for families like ours," Wyatt said.
Along with releasing his third single, "She Could Do Better," the singer spent some of the summer months meeting and getting to know many of the Special Olympic athletes and their families.  
"When I learned about the World's Largest Truck Convoy, I immediately knew I had to get involved. My Dad, my grandpa and three of my uncles were truckers, and trucker songs have always been a big part of my show. This is just a great event for a great cause," said Wyatt.
