Sesame Street Creates 'Carrie Underworm' Character

Carrie Underwood will appear on America's beloved children’s television show, Sesame Street, as a specially created character called “Carrie Underworm.” Underwood also recorded a song, “The Worm Anthem,” exclusively for the show.
Underworm is pictured as an orange worm with long blond hair and a wireless microphone. Her segment will be introduced by NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, and the scene will also include Oscar the Grouch. The Carrie Underworm Sesame Street episode is scheduled to air on PBS Thursday, Feb. 11, as well as March 17, April 8 and April 26.
