Jennifer Nettles, one half of CMA Vocal Duo of the Year Sugarland, is set to host the CMA Country Christmas, a television special featuring performances of holiday classics from some of Country’s biggest stars, including Sugarland themselves.
“I am thrilled to have been asked to host the CMA Christmas special,” Nettles said. “I love the holidays and, as my first time hosting a show, I am sure it will be full of laughs and surprises both for myself and for the folks watching.”
The production will continue the holiday traditions Country Music has always explored; in fact, the “CMA Country Christmas will be wrapped in those traditions,” said Steve More, CMA Chief Executive Officer.
“The themes you find in Country Music are the foundation of what makes the holidays meaningful – the comfort of home, family, and friends,” said Moore.
Joining Sugarland are Kellie Pickler, Sheryl Crow, Little Big Town, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, Reba McEntire, LeAnn Rimes and Darius Rucker. In addition to performing, the Country superstars will share their own holiday traditions.
CMA Country Christmas will be filmed at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena. It will air on Monday, Nov. 29, at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
