After experiencing huge success with his first six-pak album, Blake Shelton is looking to add to that success with his second six-pak album, expected to be released this summer.
The idea for these six-pak albums was a marketing gimmick thought up by Shelton’s label, Warner Bros., as a way to release more music each year. Each album, as the name suggests, bundles six songs onto an album, which is about half the length of a traditional full-length album.
“Looking back at the last one, I definitely think it worked,” said Shelton. “It did everything we hoped it would do."
Hillbilly Bone, which was Shelton’s first six-pak, debut at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Music charts.
