Miranda Lambert's Oklahoma-based charity event, TAILS (Texoma Animal Improved Living Society) helped raise $70,000 on Feb. 12. The money is slated to build an animal shelter in the community of Tishomingo.Lambert, along with fellow Country Music star Blake Shelton, filled the room for their special concert at Murray State College."I am so happy that in this economy people would spend their hard earned dollars to come together for one night to support one cause," said Lambert. "The support from the community and volunteers made this possible, and we are so grateful that this facility for abused and abandoned animals is now a reality."Lambert's philanthropy towards animals isn't over; she is planning a second charity event, Cause for the Paws, to benefit the Humane Society of East Texas. The second-annual event will take place in Tyler, Texas, on May 17. The evening will include dinner, wine tasting and music, including performances by Blake Shelton, Nashville Star alum Kasey Musgraves and singer-songwriter Adam Hood. The event raised $113,000 last year for abused and neglect animals in East Texas.Webb is dog-gone proud!
