Mike Runnels of Austin, Texas, commonly known as “The Mystery Man of Texas,” has often stunned fans and critics alike with his stunning ability to recreate the sounds of past Country genres. Once again, Runnels has recreated a song, “Last Date,” in honor of the great pianist, Floyd Cramer. The song will be released through iTunes and other online music stores. The track features such artists as Floyd Domino, a Grammy winning keyboardist, Merle Haggard and George Strait."Like me, Floyd plays from the heart, it's real and I can hear it in every note he plays," Cramer said. For decades, Cramer silenced all in the music world with his remarkable piano performances alongside music legends Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline and Roy Orbison, as well as a number of other performers. For his significant work in multiple genres of music, Cramer has been inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame."I see myself and my art as a tribute to the legendary artists of Country Music," Runnels said. "I'm influenced by them and live in their shadows. And I do my little part to keep this sound alive."
