Brooks and Dunn will soon be immortalized in the California concrete with what has become an incredible honor. The hit making duo will receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame August 4th. Some might consider country music and the Walk of Fame two separate entities that should not be mixed, but Brooks and Dunn have roots and influences that cross the traditional country boundaries, including The Eagles, ZZ Top and The Rolling Stones. "From day one, we’ve been able to get away with a lot of that," Ronnie Dunn told the Associated Press. "We get more resistance from radio with classic country than we do with the classic rock-influenced stuff." Other country acts with on the Walk of Fame include Reba McEntire, Garth Brooks, Clint Black, Randy Travis, Loretta Lynn, Dwight Yoakam, Hank Williams and Alabama.
