Scotty said, “I’m really excited to let people hear what we’ve been working on and putting so much effort and energy and time into. It’s something that I’m really proud of. I can’t wait for them to hear it! Hopefully they’ll feel what I was feeling in the studio.” His fellow Idol finalist Lauren expressed a similar sentiment, saying, “My fans have made everything happen for me. They voted and stood behind me through this whole experience.”

Scotty’s video for “I Love You This Big” was shot in Los Angeles by director Shane Drake. The video was shot in an area called Angels Point. “The location for the shoot was really cool,” Scotty says. “If you looked one way, you could see Dodger Stadium, and if you looked another way, you could see downtown L.A. We found this park that had a little country feel to it and it all worked out,” he says. “If I hadn’t told you that, you would think we would have shot that in North Carolina. The music video has a summertime barbecue feel, like a July Fourth party with fireworks and hot dogs and families.”

Lauren’s video for “Like My Mother Does” was shot by Shaun Silva in Altadena, CA. “The video is all about my mom and it has footage from my childhood and pictures of me and my family while I was growing up,” she says. “It’s all projected on this beautiful Southern-style house. It’s really great. It shows my life, so people will know more about me after they see it. I love that it shows who I am and how I became who I am. It shows my family and all about what I’ve done all through the years, and I love that.”

Both finalists are touring with American Idols Live through September. Their performances at June’s CMA Fest will be featured on the special CMA Music Festival: Country’s Night to Rock, which airs on ABC on Sunday, Aug. 14, 8-11 p.m. ET. Both stars will be featured in their own specials on GAC this fall, entitled Introducing: Scotty McCreery and Introducing: Lauren Alaina.
