Scotland Stage Set for Country Extravaganza

3/21/2008 Lisa Ann Schleipfer Those country music fans overseas know how to get down on the farm. This weekend, March 21-23, marks the fifth annual Caithness Country Music Festival in Caithness, Scotland. In previous years the festival has played host to over 4,000 country music fans, and will be holding a sold out show Saturday night. Sponsored by the Northern Nashville Country Music Club, the festival boasts artists from Scotland, Ireland and the United Kingdom. Friday night will include a performance from country crooner Moe Bandy and American artists Danni Leigh and Band and Ronnie & The Rhythm Kings will play on Sunday. The NNCMC was formed in 1987 to support country music in Scotland. The club has hosted acts from all over the world, including U.S. country artists Heather Miles, Jean Sheppard and Highway 101.
