9/12/2007 Stephen L. Betts Attorneys for Sara Evans filed a motion on Tuesday (9/11) alleging that her husband is trying to destroy her career. According to The Tennessean, Sara's attorneys are asking a judge to strike the set of documents filed last week by attorneys for her husband, Craig Schelske. The interrogatories — documents used to obtain information from opposing parties — allege that Sara had up to 11 extramarital affairs. Sara leveled charges of adultery and verbal abuse against her husband in her divorce filing 11 months ago. Sara’s attorneys claim in the motion filed on Tuesday that Schelske sent her an e-mail on Aug. 23 in which he wrote, "I don't care whatever way the rest of this plays out. Let it go back to court. I don't care. I don't care about the interrogatories coming out and about you having to answer them. It won't matter anyway whether you answer them or not. The questions themselves will answer all the tabloids want to know. I don't care about draining every last dime and completely destroying your career." In Schelske's attorneys' interrogatories, Sara is asked to provide details about alleged relationships with Kenny Chesney, members of the band 3 Doors Down, singer Richard Marx and her Dancing with the Stars partner, Tony Dovolani. Both sides are under a gag order, prohibiting them from making comments to the media, according to John Hollis Sr., Sara’s attorney. Sara filed for divorce on Oct. 12, 2006. Schelske has denied the claims of adultery and verbal abuse in the original suit and has accused his wife of waging a media campaign against him.
