Sara Evans Doubles Up: Singer and Novelist

Sara Evans is morphing into a novelist. Evans will publish her debut novel with Thomas Nelson sometime this year, a four-book deal, according to the blog, Country Standard Time. The novel will be out in alliance with an album by Evans on RCA Records.
"Signing well-known entertainers to write stories in synch with their established brands is a great way to satisfy fans who are hungry for more from their favorite celebrities," said Allen Arnold, Senior Vice President and Publisher, Thomas Nelson Fiction on Evans' Web site.
Evans described the book as "emotional, Southern-flavored, multi-generational tale, featuring a compelling love story." The characters and events in the novel were inspired by Evans' family life and experiences growing up.
Evans' novel was written with bestselling author Rachel Hauck, known for novels like "Diva NashVegas" and "Love Starts with Elle."
