Acclaimed music artist Rosanne Cash will be the hot topic at the Americana Music Association's Festival and Conference this year. Author/journalist Michael Streissguth will conduct a Keynote Interview with Cash on Thursday, Sept. 17 at 10:45 a.m. at the Nashville Convention Center.

Streissguth is the author of Always Been There: Rosanne Cash, The List and the Spirit of Southern Music, which chronicles the making of The List, Cash's latest album. Always Been There is a behind the scenes look at the album's creation with in-depth interviews of Cash and husband/producer John Leventhal, featuring more than 60 photographs.

The List is a collection of cover songs, based on an actual list of music given to Cash by her father, the legendary Johnny Cash. The album hits stores Oct. 6 and includes an impressive list of musical guests, including Bruce Springsteen ("Sea of Heartbreak"), Elvis Costello ("Heartaches by the Number"), Jeff Tweedy ("Long Black Veil") and Rufus Wainwright ("Silver Wings").

The Keynote Interview is an integral component of the Americana Music Association's conference. Past subjects of Keynote Interviews have included T Bone Burnett, Rodney Crowell, Emmylou Harris and Lyle Lovett.

The 10th Annual Americana Festival and Conference runs Sept. 16-19 in Nashville with evening shows that bring Americana music showcases to five venues. The festival wraps with the Honors & Awards Show, Thursday, Sept. 17, at the Ryman Auditorium.
