The 2010 CMA Music Festival will start out strong with a parade and block party featuring numerous Country Music stars. Held with support from Chevy, the parade will travel through the streets of downtown Nashville on June 9.

The parade will feature Brenda Lee as Grand Marshall and will include artists such as Lynn Anderson, Chuck Wicks, Bo Bice and Rodney Atkins to name a few. Members of the National Guard will offer their services to drive the artists through the parade route.

The “Fifth Annual CMA Music Festival Block Party” will follow the parade. The block party is scheduled to include performances by David Nail, Chuck Wicks, Jerrod Niemann, Joe Nichols and Randy Houser.

The party will take place on the Chevy Music Stage on the Bridgestone Arena Plaza in downtown Nashville and will be free and open to the public. The four days following the block party at the Chevy Music Stage will also feature live performances and will remain free and open to the public.

Chevy is also offering fans a chance to test-drive new vehicles with a charitable benefit. For each test drive, Chevy will donate $10 to the Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee to offer relief and aid to the recent flood victims.
