Rodney Atkins’ new video about hot, summer love features the singer’s own wife as the 'farmer’s daughter' that catches Atkins’ eye while he plays a young farmhand on set in Franklin, Tenn.

Open fields and country life, along with old-fashioned summertime love, dominate the video directed by Chris Hicky, also known for Miranda Lambert’s “White Liar.”

The love-at-first-sight video has been a hit-at-first-hear among fans, selling more than 140,000 iTunes downloads and propelling Atkins to the one million download mark, according to a report from TheBoot.com.

Atkins' wife, Tammy Jo, is the second member of the Atkins' family to be a video star. In a 2006 filming of "Watching You," the singer's son was cast to play the role of Atkins' son, appropriately enough.

“Farmer’s Daughter” is the fourth single from Atkins’ third album, It’s America.

Atkins will be on stage tonight at Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar & Grill in Phoenix.
