Rodney Atkins’s newest single, “Farmer’s Daughter,” is quickly climbing to the top of the iTunes Download charts.

“Farmer’s Daughter” is the story of a summer romance that turns into true love. It is Atkins’ fastest-selling single to date, at more than 140,000 downloads on iTunes alone. Atkins' previous three No. 1 hits (“If You’re Going Through Hell,” “These Are My People,” “Cleaning This Gun”) have nearly reached one million downloads. With the success of “Farmer’s Daughter,” Atkins is sure to reach the milestone soon.

Atkins got his hands dirty filming the video on a farm in Franklin, Tenn. In the video, airing on Turbo Track rotation on Great American Country, Atkins drives a tractor and bucks hay. Atkins’s wife, Tammy-Jo, is featured in the video as the “Farmer’s Daughter.”

The video is directed by Chris Hicky. Hicky also directed Miranda Lambert’s award-winning “White Liar” video.

"Farmer's Daughter" is the fourth single from Rodney Atkins' third studio album, It’s America.
